Description

Ahhh please don't hate me for how bad my comic composition is. XD I'm using this awesome group for practice doing comic pages.

In Sailor Illumina's story, after the final battle with Chaos, Sailor White Cosmos rewards her loyalty and bravery by transporting her broken Sailor Crystal through the dimensions to her original self while it was still Neo Queen Serenity. This 3-page series depicts her arrival.

The shape of her Sailor Crystal is based on the manga Sailor Crystals, when the Senshi obtained their Eternal forms. Later in the manga they are shaped just like any other Star Seed - I like to think that when in use or power is going through them they take on the more crystal forms. Also, ARTISTIC LIBERTIES :iconusagilaplz:

Please forgive my awful lack of background skillzorz.

All right, back to critiquing comics! Woot!

You have a very beautiful art style and I love the detail you put into some figures, such as Serenity and her gorgeous dress. I think it could use a little clean-up here and there, just to make it look that much more polished. I just wish there was more detail everywhere, because the backgrounds here are especially bare. The first panel really stands out as an example of this because I know you're trying to make it look like the crystal is glowing, but it doesn't come off that way because the glow is so soft. I really want to see some more detailed backgrounds from you to match your detailed figures!

For the most part, I'm normally against using premade brushes, but I think it works pretty well in the rightmost panel.

So far your writing is very nice. This is one of those stories where it feels like I need to know your character's backstory to read this, but I don't necessarily need to. Anatomy-wise it looks fine so far, but pay attention to bangs and how they look from the side view -- I'm not sure how to explain this, but I don't think they jut out as far as you draw them.

I think your comic composition is all right as well, though the center seems a little cluttered with the text box with "Sailor White Cosmos" and the outline of Illumina all together. A tip I like to keep in mind is that the larger the panel, the more time the reader spends on that panel. Therefore, larger panels should be for "larger" moments. Not saying you haven't followed this, but it's a good concept to remember!
Right now my eyes are mostly focused on the black panel, but Illumina is drawn very sketchlike here and the panel almost looks unfinished because of that (as well as the fact that there's not much else in the panel).

Anyways, beautiful start so far!
